Yiwu High School of Zhejiang Province was founded in 1927. It was named the key high school of Zhejiang Province in 1981 and classified as the first-class provincial key school in 1995. It is regarded as the leading and first-class modern garden campus both in Zhejiang Province and in China.

Located at the foot of Baiyan Mountain, Yiwu High School now has 45 classes and about 2500 students and teachers, covering a total area of 460 mu. The school, famous for its beautiful campus, outstanding achievements and excellent teachers, has gone through eighty years of trials and hardships,and so far more than 20,000 graduates have become elites in every field of the society. Eighty years¡¯ constant efforts have contributed to the school spirit ¡°Work Hard; Be Realistic;Have Perseverance and Make Innovation¡± .

Under the guidance of the school spirit, in the recent years , a series of new achievements have helped increase the reputation of the school: four students have won the championships of arts and science in the college entrance examination. Every year many teachers get prizes of national level in the teaching competitions of different subjects as well as in the research field.

On October 2nd,2007, a great ceremony was held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Yiwu High School.

Now the old school is taking on a new look.
